This U Street townhouse’s living room played the role of Jeffrey Wright’s living room in the 2005 movie Syriana, for which The Clooney won and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Now the whole house has just closed above the asking price of $1.125M, according to WaPo. The agent reports there were seven offers at or above ask, but did not reveal the final sales price other than saying it was “substantially over $1.2 million.” The living room, front porch and kitchen are seen in the film and the three-bedroom townhouse boasts a gas fireplace, dining room, gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors and a two-car garage.
